Good Place to sleep
When we arrived I told the man at the desk that I had booked a non-smoking king because that was the only one available, and he was immediately able to switch it to smoking. I don’t smoke in my own home so when I go traveling it’s easier if I don’t have to go outside to do so. When my fiance and I got up to the room it was clean, with lots of fluffy towels and the usual amenities. They even had HBO for free. Not a bad bargain.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The Milwaukee Art Museum is within walking distance and being so close to Prospect Ave. makes the East Side very accessible.

Clean place to stay
Room was quite small though - not much space to move around. The lake view was not really a lake view - could see a bit from the distance but that is about it.

Nice
The desk clerk was patient and helpful to us. We enjoyed a nice walk around the area based on his suggestions. We enjoyed the old fashioned "hotel" feeling of the building and therefore had no problem overlooking what might be viewed as deficiencies by some.
