A Mixed Bag
First impressions are good with a great lobby & the restuarants are good if very expensive. The rooms were once 5 star Im sure, however, time has tken its toll. The real let down are the bathrooms with sub-standard showers, damp walls & mould around the tiles & right around the ceiling. Outside the pools are good, however, the pool side is dirty, loungers have seen better days & the number of cats wandering around on the scrounge is getting out of hand. Despite all that location is great !
Traveller's tip on dining
Great restuarants at good prices down at Portamasso Marina.

Bad management
I booked a room with Expedia, a seaview tower room with one king size bed. They checked me in room 738 which had no sea view, after that I got room 739 which had 2 queen beds. finally, room 643. I really thought tower room meant 7th floor. However, by the time I got to room 643, I had no energy to talk to the hotel people. The furniture was tired looking and all rooms had an oder. I have not wrote reviews on the internet before, but I feel that all others reviews were not for this hotel and I dont want others to make the same mistake I did.

Lovely hotel
We stayed for 6 nights in a Tower room (room 502) which had wonderful views from both sides of the balcony. The room was large with two double beds and the balcony was huge with a table and chairs and two sun loungers. Our balcony did not have the sofas that were in the advertised photos which was slightly disappointing but the balcony was still very impressive. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a suite with the executive package for an additional price but instead, as we loved the room we were allocated we were able to get the executive package along with our original tower room at a slightly lower rate. The pools were lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Before booking the executive package, work out if it is worth the extra money. The executive dining room was very nice with lovely views but in the evening the guests didnt seem to mix with one another, so there was no atmosphere. Breakfast, however, was good with a very efficient service.
