Great Gem
The best thing about this place was the friendly staff. They would do anything that needed to be done with a smile. Alll round great place even if it is not on the beach.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Great self catering place which keeps your costs down. Only minutes away from large supermarket.

Ideal as a base
We have been to Barbados a number of times and know the island well. What we particularly wanted was a base half way up the west coast somewhere near Holetown. This hotel is ideal if you just want somewhere to stay without all the trimmings you get in a normal 5 star hotel. It is comfortable, well maintained, 5 minutes walk from the west coast beaches, friendly helpful staff. The grounds are well kept and nice to relax in. The self catering amenities are basic but sufficient and you are close to a main supermarket and lots of restaurants. Plus the added attraction of a troop of wild monkeys coming around twice most days. We noticed there is a lot of repeat business so obviously a very happy clientele. This hotel would suit you if you are relatively self sufficient, maybe hiring a car and using it as a base.

OK Barbados Basic Hotel
The hotel is not on the beach and a car is pretty much essential. We used ours to explore the whole island and were able to enjoy a variety of very pretty beaches. The restaurant and bar area were not very appealling (dark with noisy music) but the pool is ok and the gardens are pleasant.
