An oasis in Les Baux

The hotel sits at the base of Les Baux en Provence, a charming hill town that is more than worth spending part of a day exploring. You are surrounded by gardens and breathtaking rock formations. You can walk up to the town via an exit through the hotel gardens. This is truly an oasis, very private and peaceful. The hotel is comprised of 3 different stone farm houses on the property - so expect a driver to accompany you to the specific property you are statying in and you can also request a driver to take you to the main hotel to dine. We chose this option so we could consume as much wine as we wanted to with dinner. (Parking is available as well - & you can choose to drive back & forth) We stayed in Le Manor. We had a small room, but it was very comfortable and the design was modern. A peaceful formal garden is outside this fomer farmhouse, and is a wonderful spot to take your breakfast in the morning. Also on the property is a lovely pool with bar service available. A wonderful spot for a honeymoon or a peaceful retreat. The dining is amazing...

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Besides exploring Lex Baux, nearby Chateau d’Estoublon is worth a trip to tase olive oil and wine. Other nearby hill towns of Gordes and Roussillon, and the Abbye Notre-Dame de Senanque (lavendar fields!) are also must see spots. Near to St. Remy en Provence too. So, a very convenient location - more towns nearby as well. recommend GPS to find your way around - we had no problems!

Something special

Service was great, excellent location at the base of Les Baux. Good price given the specialness of the place.

Note that the restaurant is $$$$, was more than we would usually spend

Beautiful Town and Hotel

The hotel provides a great setting for a romantic and quite getaway. Though, we ran in to the largest crowds of tourists in the town, for a very good reason.

Traveller's tip on dining

The hotel rooms are great though watchout for the dinner prices. We felt that the food did not live up to the prices though the service was impeccable. You might want to try the restuarant over lunch instead.
