Le Riad Monceau
If you have never been to Marrakech before the trip from the airport to Le Riad Monceau is pretty unforgettable and sums up the place perfectly! Le Riad M. is an oasis of calm amongst the souks and street life that goes on only a few metres away. An enjoyable stay and would certainly head back to the place next time I am in Marrakech.

An oasis of calm
The Riad was beautiful and lived up to all expectations. Very romantic venue. Lovely small touches - a fresh rose every day in the bathroom , rose petals scattered over our bed and chocolates on our pillow each night. The traditional Morrocan food served was delicious. Ideal location for visiting souks - within walking distance of most attractions. We stayed in the Caliph room which was spacious. The service was good, and the staff friendly.

Lovely Hotel
The hotel Riad Monceau is a calm corner in the madness that is Marrakesh. It is a lovely hotel with great service (for example getting us breakfast at 4 in the morning then carrying our bags to the airport taxi waiting at Jeema) and I would recommed this hotel to anyone going to Marrakech.
Traveller's tip
If you are allergic to animals you should be aware that in the narrow roads of the souks and the north medina horses are very much on top of you. I got blotchy and wheezy. Also, be aware of leather goods. You wont notice whilst on holiday but once you get home the really bad smell (stench) will be overwhelming. We bought a lovely weekend bag for 370 Dhirams which is now airing in the garage. We hope it isnt fatal and that it will one day recover.
