Small and not for everyone
I liked this hotel, but only for two nights. Very small room (having read reviews I was not surprised by this), very compact bathroom area. Partner hated it - felt it was far too small and claustrophobic without window (no fresh air). Having air con on all night left me with very sore throat and cough - it would have been far too hot and stuffy without air con. Oh well. Cafe What (in lobby of hotel) was doing a good value meal deal and the food was good. Breakfasts were a bit pricey. Very centrally based for sightseeing round Christchurch.
Plenty of cheaper cafes close by hotel to get breakfast.

Not Impressed
I give it to you that the hotel is a revolutionary concept but you can’t really move around your room without hitting one thing or the other. The sleep and wake up system are interesting but i don’t know if they are actually based on science. The main advantages are that it is at the heart of the city. The complementary wireless internet access sucks. (simply would not work). They don’t have any car park. The launderettes are also kind of expensive.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
The hotel has a lunge which has a microwave so you can get some frozen foods to save a few bucks.

Great hotel but small room
Hotel is different and interesting. It has great features such as high tech lighting and is well located. I had a double room but it is still small and I don’t think a couple could fit in it with their luggage
