Good hotel/location
Its a 5 min walk from the Train Station; 2 min walk to Eyer SQ; and 5 min walk to the bars. We got a room for 4 people and had plenty of space. The only drawback was that the room smelled though like cigarettes and there were cigarette butts sitting on the edge of the window.

The most enjoyable stay
The Western Hotel was a treat. We had been driving around Ireland and got the Galway. The Hotel was our best stay from the reception, the room, the evening meal and breakfast in the morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
Eat in the hotel, the evening meal and service was excellent.

Eh...
This hotel was the equivalent of a US Days Inn. Hard bed, bare minimum amenities, and broken tv (so we couldnt catch the news or weather). It was really hot in the room, so we kept the window open, but the kitchen staff and pub-goers hung out below our (inward-facing) window until 4am talking very loudly. We didnt eat in the dining room for dinner, but the pub was decent and breakfast was included, fast, and good. The major pros are the location (just off of Eyre Square) and the fact that there is free parking for guests. But I wouldnt stay there again, and wouldnt recommend it to others.
