Living in the past
I’ve been a little harsh in my ratings but given the cost of staying in this hotel you do expect the best - and that was not provided. The location is excellent, but the hotel is tired and lifeless. West facing rooms have wonderful views, but the rooms themselves are unexciting, with the bathrooms very old fashioned with showers in the bath still! The leisure facilities fall way below what a hotel of this calibre should provide - a small gym with equipment unrepaired for 3 days - small pools: a spa that is plonk in the middle of all the noise of swimming pool/ gym and kids playing table tennis. The front desk give the impression that you are lucky to be provided entry to their hotel - not what I expect from a supposedly top hotel.
