Good location; but not good for comfort or sleep
We found the hotel staff cold and impersonal. Our requests for assistance were met with almost hostility, as if we were an imposition, not a paying guest. The pillows were rock hard and lumpy. Likewise the duvets. And although the location was great, busses and motorcycles roared through all night, so even wtih window close and ear plugs in, I couldnt sleep. And of course, there was no air conditioning, and we were in a warm climate pattern, so having the window closed was oppressively hot. We did like the cool wall graphic in the room, and the breakfast was good. I wouldnt go back there, though. Nicht so gut! Thanks for asking
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Just walking around old Salzburg, and also taking the funiculare up to the top, and hiking around there. The Easter store was amazing! Great street musicians. The Civic Museum was fascinating, and gave a unique view into the history of the city and the area

Great Hotel for Great Price
My husband and I expected an old hotel for this price. We were surprised to get there and see that the installations were renovated and very nice and modern, and clean too. Even though the hotel is located in a popular street it is not that noisy that you cant sleep. It is only a 10-min walk from the touristic part of Salzburg, so location is great. After checking out of the hotel the parking lot around the corner (which charges about 12 Euro per day- I know, quite expensive but if you take a car expect that) was pretty convenient too. Breakfast, included, had a great variety and was very good too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
