Convenient Location
This hotel is in a great location in the centre of the town near all the bars and restaurants. The downside of that is that is noisy - and there is no air conditioning in the rooms so if you need to have the window open it is really noisy. The rooms are quite spacious with very comfortable beds. We had a problem checking out - the lady on reception did not seem to know how to work the computer! We got there in the end but it took a long time, some confusion, and there didn’t seem to be anyone available to help. Parking is expensive at 7.5 euro per day. The breakfasts were also expensive, so what looked like good value turned out to be more expensive than we thought. We also had a major problem finding the hotel, as the road has recently become one-way and the instructions had not been updated.

We found a lovely vegetarian restaurant behind the shopping centre - it was advertised in the hotel information booklet.

Re: Business stay in the Mercure
Very nice hotel. Just don’t opt for breakfast or to use the internet - a joke. 17.50 euros for breakfast and 15 euros for a day’s internet. Jog on.

Enjoyable stay
The hotel was of a higher standard than we anticipated.The lighting levels were rather low and it was not comfortable for reading. Why oh why is the sound from the television broadcast inti the bathroom?.very strange!!. Again a bathroom without pegs/clotheshooks. However we did enjoy our stay. The breakfast was excellent but EXPENSIVE!!.
