Rooms still dated despite recent refrubishment

The hotel has stunning sea front position and has good lawn & terraced areas to make the most of the view. Our room had very comfortable bed with good quality sheets, but overall the room was not of a good standard. The wallpaper was peeling off in places, the TV table was too low with badly chipped paint, only three coat hangers in the 1970`s wardrobe. The bathroom was miniscule - no room for any movement at all. The handbasin was tiny, old, poor quality fittings, broken loo seat and very poor water flow from the shower. However, the Perry Suite ,although not up to date in style was spacious and very pleasant - with a huge bathroom. The service provided from reception and waiting staff was exemplary.

Its worth it for the sea view but old tired deco rooms and bathrooms

the front of house staff were friendly and very helpful but it is a tired hotel - avacardo bathrooms are great if you still enjoy watching the prisoner! Breakfast was served by staff that needed better supervision, training and more than basic English. Its undergoing an extension which is bad planning over the peak holiday season as this makes the garden a mess. Typical UK sea-side hotel.
