Great hotel in quiet area of Phuket
The resort was clean and well maintained. The staff was courteous and friendly just have to deal with the language barrier could be a little difficult. Overall a great experience and would stay again.

Great hotel, stylish and relaxed
Having just returned from Phuket with my family, I can highly recommend the staff and services at Alpina. Having no reviews when we booked, it was something of a leap of faith - we didn’t need to worry. The hotel is both stylish and relaxed. Our room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The rest of the hotel is styled in a similar manor, which creates an atmosphere of tranquillity. My wife also had great things to say about the spa treatments, which were good value for money. The staff were both attentive & efficient, which really helped to make our holiday special. They entertained & played with both our sons (3 years and 9 months), & were a constant help especially at meal times. The beach shuttle came in handy (10 minute walk to the beach), which took us to their reserved area. At night you can feel a little remote from the centre; but it is a safe 5-10 minute walk along a well lit road to the centre of things. There are areas to improve upon. 1st the general lack of a play area for children (a few rubber mats in a corridor - does not count). 2nd the lack of a life guard at the pool (considering the size of it) will mean that you are constantly on edge, when the children approach (although this is par for the course). Also we were beginning to wish that the house band knew a few more songs (other than club-land cover versions of Queen and Guns & Roses hits). Overall a great hotel & I would have no hesitation in returning to or recommending Alpina.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Don’t use the hotel’s laundry service. Whilst everything in the hotel is reasonably priced, there are plenty of alternative options available at a fraction of the cost just outside the hotel grounds.
