This hotel is not three stars more like one
Was expecting a three star hotel, but it seems most two star hotels offer much better comfort. The hotel is very old, floor crack when you walk, can hear people walking, no electronic key cards, all rooms use a simple key lock. The room i stayed in was above some radiators and it was constant rumbling noise thoughout the night. The hot water gets switched off around 12am. When I arrived back to the hotel after a drink, I was forced to take a cold shower. When asking member of staff, I was told their boiler was broken ??? Not worth it even if they pay me to stay there!

Ooold hotel
I booked the Royal County, but upon arrival was told Id be staying at its sister hotel, the George, around the corner. The George was built in 1432 (yes, 1432) and has been a hotel since 1540. It has been remodeled and is very nice, with spaciouls rooms and sound plumbing. It has two disadvantages- no elevator and an outrageous fee for internet. Breakfat was good for a British hotel. A traditional English breakfast is usually horrible. Free wi-fi is available at a nearby coffee shop with a purchase.
