Wonderful Experience
We loved this beautiful manor house hotel. The room was a bit small, but fine considering the price we paid. The bar was comfortable, with many single malt whiskies, and the food in Simpson’s Restaurant was spectacular (scallops, salmon, house-smoked venison). Location was convenient to the Castle Trail, Aberdeen, and golf courses. Highly recommended.

Will certainly consider when next in area.
I used the pool, sauna, steam room and was happy with this although not the biggest facilities at a hotel.I also ate my eavening meal in the cocktail bar and had a great bowl of soup and burger and chips. Far too much and couldn’t finish my meal. Ample to eat for beakfast and plenty to choose from.

Great place to get away from it all
We were married there 9 years ago and wanted to go back for our anniversary. The reception welcome was warm and friendly but unfortunately that couldn’t be said for the experience we had in the bar. The barman was unfriendly/unhelpful and actually made us feel ill at ease while we were in the bar. Apart from that, the room was lovely and we really enjoyed the buffet breakfast the next morning!
