location, location, location.
the title sums it up. The hotel location is fantastic. The attractions of the national mall are all within a walk of fifteen minutes. the hotel is literally adjacent to a major DC metro station ( L’enfant plaza), from where you can reach anywhere within DC metropolitan area in minutes. there are bus routes on independence avenue, a block from the hotel. and ifthis is not enough, there’s a taxi stand right outside the hotel. This is like the ultimate traveler’s location. With a clean , comfortable room that I got ahead of my check in time, the imax pass ( with every imax show you buy at the NASA museum or museum of natural history, you get a second show free), or the friendly staff, I have no complaints at all. I did not eat at the hotel restaurants (Chinatown is the next metro station and the Penn quarter restaurants are again within an easy walking distance), so I won’t know anything about the food or the service.

Perfect location
We walked from Arlington to the hotel. Everything in walking or Metro distance and one 45 min bus ride direct to Dulles. Food and service fantastic. Air Conditioner noise only fault with this stay. On and off throughout the night it was disruptive, with sealed windows no option but to use it. We would go again.

Great location. Close to the Mall and Metro. Will stay there again!
The staff was very friendly and helpful with places to see and how to get around. Air & Space Museum was within walking distance, as was the Capital. There is a Metro stop (subway) about a block away, which made it very convenient, as that and walking are the best ways to get around especially if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Washington-Capital. For everything this hotel has to offer (price, location, friendly staff, bar, restaurant, coffee, shop, etc.) I will stay here again.
