Great location but!!
The hotel is situated in a great central location and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The room was well appointed and comfortable. The cooked buffet breakfast was excellent. However, the hotel is let down by the lack of parking. The public car park next door was very small and at a cost of £10 per day was extortionate. Parking was very difficult in the evening due to it being free for Gala Bingo members. The reception staff did not seem to be fully aware of things. Our check in was tentative and the receptionist had to check which rooms had double beds with a colleague. On check out we were asked for payment when we actually paid in advance. We had a bar snack one evening and order 2 Paninis, what we actually got was toasted french stick bread, when the staff were questioned we were told "thats how it comes". On the whole we enjoyed the stay but probably wont come back.

Service and parking poor
Service did not really exist and car parking was very limited in underground car park. The bar manager was more interested in the Liverpool /W. Ham match and the girl who served us in the evening seemed to find the whole experience amusing. Food very expensive for what it was, although breakfast excellent.

Excellent Hotel in the centre of the City
A pleasent hotel with very helpful staff. Within walking distance of the Hoe, Barbican and the City. Unfortunately the Hotel has no carpark. there is one next door at £10 for 24hrs or £7 per night.
The Hoe and Barbican are a must to visit. The Aquarium is also worth a visit.
