Definately would go back to Wentzl
My partner and I stayed at the Wentzl between the 26-29 October. Absolute dream of a hotel only wish we had booked for longer. We ate at the restaurant on our last evening and it was superb. I am fortunate enough to travel 3 times a year and have stayed all over the world I consider this hotel and destination one of the best. Can’t wait to go back and stay longer exploring more of Poland.

Will be going back
My wife and I spent 5 nights at this hotel. We found it to be of a high standard very clean throughout. The staff who speak english were very helpful and made you fell welcome. Our room was number 34 which looks out onto the town square and was a very delightful and comfortable room. We will be returning to the Hotel and we hope to stay in room 34. This hotel is highly recommended.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Auschwitz-Birkenau are a must visit, as are the salt mines and a locattion known as Zakopane very beautiful. We ate at a restaurant called Wesele situated in the square and only a few meters from the hotel, the food is typical that of Polish cuisine and very good.

GREAT location! Friendly staff
Hotel Wentzl is ideally situated on Rynek Glowny, Krakow’s main market square. My room (a double) had a view of the square and VERY high ceilings, which I love. The staff bent over backward to be helpful. Very nice people! I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and would recommend this place to friends and tourists. The only slight negatives was that the mattress wasn’t springy the way I prefer - it is more like a comfortable futon style mattress. No biggie. Breakfast at Hotel Wentzl was nicely done. Don’t eat at the more formal restaurant outdoors as it’s apparently under different ownership and the service is slow and desultory, at best.
