Lovely Hotel

Charming small hotel more like a really great bed and breakfast. And speaking of breakfast, a great breakfast is included in the price of the room. We did have what the owner said was there largest room on the 4th floor. elevator only goes up to third floor but the one flight of stairs was no problem! The room was charming with a sloping attic roof, large, comfortable and nicely decorated. Nice views out of the windows.Room is really spacious with 2 sitting tables. A desk area under a window. Bathroom really outstanding. Very large. Great bath tub and shower. Highly recommend!

Traveller's tip on shopping

Just remember most shops close around 5 or 6 in the evening. But of course the restaurants stay open. Bruges brims with old world charm. BE sure to take the boat cruise!

Charming

This hotel was in a wonderful old section of Bruges and easy to walk to the Burg and MarketPlace. Easy to get to by bus from train station. Bus stop at nearby Jan Eyck Plein is quite close. Hotel is in a very quiet location, near a lovely canal. Breakfast spread was great, and service pleasant. Bathroom is rather large for Europe. Quite pleased all in all. Hotel clerk could have smiled a little to make me feel more welcome, but maybe she was having a bad day. This was my only complaint really. The hotel info notes a bar, but it is really just drink service available in the small lobby/front room.

Nice hotel, great town

A very pleasent small B&B. Rooms are basic and a little dated, but with comfy beds and great wide windows. Owners are very knowedgable, helpful and professional, if not gushing with friendly smiles. Breakfast is excellent, with a great range of options and service, great way to start the day. The hotel is literally 5 minutes walk from the main square and there are tons of eating options nearby, but it is also nicely quiet at night. Great little spot and certainly value for money.

Traveller's tip

Be aware that your Eurostar ticket is also valid for any trains in Belgium for 24 hours, great for the connecting train to Bruges. Also Bruges is not cheap, the prices for food, beer and amusements are in line with London, if not a little more in places!
