"Fifteen Minutes Away from the Madding Crowd "
The Hotel Tiziano is located c. a 15 minute walk from the nearest beach, and 15 to 20 minute walk to the Old town. it is situated in the docks area, along a busy road, and does not have a pleasing vista. That said, it is a very modern establishment, minimalist in interior design, and is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Cleanliness of room is excellent, bed comfortable, mini bar, a safe, and TV, and a good sized bathroom. The air conditioning was super and hardly makes a noise even at the maximum setting. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price I paid, and was average/good. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is not fussy about surroundings, does not mind walking and who wants peace and quiet. It suited my requirements very well and after a day’s sightseeing or sunbathing, I was very happy to be returning to this hotel.
I would recommend a trip to Segeste (Greek Temple and Amphitheatre) by taking the local bus there and back. Also, the trip to the medieval town of Erice is well worth a visit, and do take the Cable Car either there or back for the stunning views. (Sunday bus services may not operate - do check). A trip out to one of the Egadi islands is also very pleasant.

Short Drive to Airport
Bit of a walk into centre of trapani (approx 1km), but perfect for getting to the airport early the following morning in car.

Clean and well priced - but basic
New Hotel located on the industrial edge of the port, so not walking distance to any of the tourist sites or restaurants. The ammenities not as quoted online - some better like broadband cable for email vs dial up, so the connection was great, but no complimentary bottled water, no bathrobes, no scales and the standard small Italian shower. Because it is new, the rooms are clean and the air conditioning, a must in 40+C temps worked great. Good for 1-2 nights if you’re looking for a clean hotel, but questionable if it deserves a 4 star rating given the location lack of the luxury touches.
