Great, classic place to stay. Fantastic position !
Yes it is at the end of a very long and winding road uphill, that’s what makes it extra special. The views from the place are tremendous. Even if the mists come down it looks so romantic. I found the staff very helpful and polite. The whole place was clean and well maintained. Must have been decorated recently. Possibly re-fitted to accept guests as up until a couple of years ago it was still only a private home - so my 2003 guide book says. I really enjoyed the three nights I stayed and would recomend it. A classic place to stay, very old on the outside and comfortable on the inside. Great.

the setting of the hotel is amazing.
The reception Desk was not cooperative. not willing to help in choosing a restaurant or furfilling our requests.

Be a Princess for a night
The setting of this hotel is magnificent, some of the best views you will ever see. we arrived at night so to wake up the nest morning and open our room window to the view below, it was breath taking. the staff were nice although most had very little english. It is a good place to stay for one maybe two nights, very little to do for longer periods.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
know a little italian, bring flat comfortable shoes (hills and cobbles). Erice is a must see town on a hill.
