Impressive hotel in Jersey

Went in September.Special occasion so we booked a Platinum room. Superb!. Large room, large balcony, overlooking the harbour. TV in bathroom is a bit of a gimmick but I suppose if you dont want miss the news!. location perfect, few minutes to shops and restraunts. We are used to cruising on the Queens so we know what quality is. can`t comment the other rooms obviously. S.S. leics.

Shame about the noise

This hotel has the potential to be a great hotel but it is spoilt by the fact the noise outside cannot be blocked out from the bedrooms, if you want to stay out until 3am it is a perfect hotel! For a relaxing break you might be tearing your hair out like us, they were not able to offer us an alternative room unfortunately. I contacted the hotel on my return and the response was "Regarding your feedback we take on board everything that you have said. In truth we have raised the noise issues from the area and nearby bars, which unfortunately is out of our hands but we have raised our concerns to the local offices and are working with them to avoid disturbance to our guests. This is controlled by the local police and parish authorities. Being in St Helier, in a busy & lively area of town, there are a few bars nearby and within walking reach of the hotel which also brings many late night revelers in the area until late." It might be nice if they mention that when you book. The Silver room which we booked was very compact, we were told that this room although advertsied as a double was only really for single use if you were staying more than 1 night so do upgrade to a better room if you decide to stay for a long weekend. On the plus side the food in the Scirroco Restautant was fantastic, the breakfast were excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The spa facilities were very nice and very clean.

Hotel Spa fab!!

The hotel is lovely. Excellent service, lovely decor and the Spa is fabulous. There is plent of choice to eat and drink and the hotel is very central. The only thing that I can cmplain ablout is the size of the room. We were in the older part of the hotel and the two rooms (431&432) we had were very small. If I was to go back I would ask for a room in the newer part of the hotel.

The Spa staff are very helpful and the spa itself is the nicest i’ve seen. Local shopping is good but I was there during the sales and I’m a shoppaholic. There is plenty of jewliers to choose from aswell.
