Great hotel needs to improve to be 5 star
The hotel was great.Very close to the metro...5 mins walk. Still needs to improve to be five star standard.Swipe cards dont work and service takes longer than you would expect.Poor wifi which doesnt help ...these are all the downers.. but overall I cant complain.Friendly and helpful staff. Free shuttle to the airport and city centre is a major plus.Also, please remember things like using the gym, pool and even a travel adapter carry an extra charge which is a little surprising but then the hotel rates are well below a 5 star standard.

Phone hotel before yo travel
The hotel is given a 5-star rating, which I would dispute. Take note of other reviews, most of them are accurate. The hotel management does not give nearly enough information in its publicity: e.g. as other reviews point out, there is no mention of the shuttle bus that picks guests up at the airport and takes them back, and also to the city centre and back. You have to telephone the hotel in advance and find out exactly where the shuttle bus collects guests from at the airport. The hotel is one of a pair next-door to each other and much of the service, e.g. the front desk, is operated by the other hotel, the Hesperia Tower. Some of our room ceiling seemed to be about to fall down and the shower needed a PhD graduate to operate it. There were no instructions on what to do in case of fire. I would not use the hotel again unless a large discount was offered. We got the impression the Aparthotel was aimed at conference guests at the Tower Hotel: it was certainly not what I would call a stand-alone hoel. The city centre is 15 Metro stops from the hotel (which the publicity does not say: you can get the shuttle into town but not back out again.
