Not a 3 star hotel
nicely located but it is a bare minimum place: European Sufficiency and not a 3 star hotel. You shower is: you bathroom and consists of whole in the ground and shower above. DO NOT buy half board meal plan. You will receive very little food and it will be be served by a cook who rolls a tray into the dinning room (more like high school cafeteria) and dishes out something on your plate. Not pleasant. NO INTERNET at all. There is secured one in the lobby but for hotel use only. Place is great for college students traveling on a budget. Very decent location.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Beach chair and umbrella (with little safe box - very handy) will cost you 15 Euro a day. Adding another chair- extra. If you want plain beach - go about 0.5 mile to the left as you exit hotel and you will access free beach (no chairs, etc.) Plenty of great restaurants around. Remember dinner usually starts at 7:30 PM in Italy (or later)

Affordable and friendly
Clean, friendly hotel, albeit in need of a bit of an update regarding decor. I worried that in 32 degree heat the lack of air con. in our room would be a problem but we found it to be relatively cool and airy with the french windows open and the ceiling fan on high! Easy access to the seafront (leaning towards tacky at this end of town though) and beach; the bus passes every 10 mins. for a quick escape to the other end (which is nicer) and the old town/train station etc; ample bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall a good choice within our price range and we couldnt fault the helpful and friendly staff.
Get a 24 hour or 4 day bus ticket for approx. 3 and 5 euros respectively (7 days probably also available if youre there for longer). Stamp it in the machine on the bus at the beginning of your first bus ride and then you have unlimited travel within the town/seafront and can also get to the airport and some lovely villages nearby.

Nice but wouldnt go back
The hotel staff were very friendly but only one spoke English and my Italian was not good enough. the room was on the small side, very basic and the shower was a wet room that did not like to drain. Security was a concern as easy assess to the balcony area off the main corridor. Very little choice for breakfast and drinks machine was very tempremental. Amanda & Steve
Traveller's tip on shopping
Loads of designer copies including handbags, belts, etc. constantly disturbed on the beach with people trying to sell all manor of goods.
