If all hotels in Tokyo are like this....
Quite simply this was the best hotel we have ever stayed in, and great value for money for the quality, location and the fact that this is Tokyo! We visited Washington DC in Nov 08 and were disappointed in the Mandarin Oriental, not up to the standards we were expecting. However at the Peninsula, every single member of staff said hello or welcome back , you could use a complimentary Rolls Royce to drop you off at the train station in a morning, and the 24th Floor bar Peter was absolutely stunning. Tokyo is expense (glass of wine 10 pounds), but if you are going to visit then the Peninsula is well worth the money
Traveller's tip on dining
Peter at the Peninsula had a set three course menu with free-flowing wine. Based on the fact that wine was 1200 Yen a glass, and the set meal was only 7500 Yen, this was a great way to enjoy Michelin Star quality food whilst enjoying a nice few glasses of wine
