Happy to be there.
The hotel fullfilled my expectations as regard being clean, comfortable, offering a good hospitality and in the heart of New York city. I hope I could be there in the future when I come back to New York and find it as fine as I left it.

Quiet location yet central and close to subway lines 1,2,3.
This was an excellent hotel, perfectly located for our puposes because of the subway. We spent a week in New York and bought a week’s subway ticket which at $27 included transport on buses and was very worthwhile. The hotel was confortable and well equipped with microwave and fridge and HD television. We had two double beds in the double room which was more than we required bur gave us extra space. It was useful to be able to plug in our ipod and have our choice of music throught the sound system. We bought a phone card from USA to home and used the hotel telephone very cheaply to phone home regularly. The special rates we obtained for the room made it a real bargain considering how expensive NY prices are!
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Use subway. $27 for week’s pass. Safe! Use free Staten Island ferry to see Statue of Liberty. Queue for tickets for Met at 5.00pm - $200 tickets for $20. Queue for half price Broadway tickets at South Seaport TKTS. It is also a lovely area to explore and has a fine brewery pub! Do take a dinner cruise - so romantic - or a Circle Line tour of the island of Manhattan. It saves the feet and you see so much.

Excellent service, very clean hotel in NY
I had researched hotels in NY for quite some time and the Hilton Garden Inn had very good reviews. I have to agree. The staff, particularly Tasha and Keven, were outstanding. The rooms were larger than most found in NY and were extremely clean. It was easy to get around NY from our hotel. I would highly recommend staying here.
