Great hotel for families
spent two nights in the new Carlton Hotel Galway and was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and room, the friendly service, and the amenities - free parking, leisure center - my 2 year old daughter used the pool and loved it! there are many depths in the pool that allow young children to walk around and play on their own along the edges of the pool where there are sitting benches. we brought our own swim cap and really enjoyed the pool! the breakfast was good and filling and the dinner was not bad. my husband was able to request milk for my daughter from the bar late at night and they gladly accomdated.

Comfortable hotel
Was pleasantly surprised by our stay in Day’s Hotel. Check in was efficient, room was clean and comfortable. Had bar food on night we arrived. Good atmosphere in bar, very busy , not enough staff working- they were running in an attempt to attend to customers.Food was adequate.
Hotel within easy walking distance of Galway city. Very convenient, easy to find.

Lots of families
As in a lot of hotels, found the bedroom very warm. Couldn’t work out how to turn down the heat. We arrived after 9pm and all the kitchens had closed. Breakfast was good value. There were a LOT of families so we didn’t go near the hotel. Hotel was comfortable and clean.
The Front Door and Buskers are both good.
