The only place we will stay in South Beach
We have stayed at Angler’s 4 times in 3 years and in all types of rooms. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else.

2 nights in tower
The Anglers was a very nice hotel in the art deco area of south beach. The staff was attentive (car valet, bellman carrying our bags to room, happy to show us around the hotel i.e.pool, restaurant)... The room itself was in the tower side, which is 2 levels connected via a spiral staircase; bedroom & bath upstairs, sitting area, desk, refrigerator/bar area on lower level. They were very acomodating on late checkout. Overall, was a nice arrangement, although the spiral staircase may not be for all travelers. It is within 2 blocks of the south end of art deco area/shopping/volleyball park/beach. It was great to come back to a quiet hotel after dinner & walking in the noisy/high traffic beach area. Would hope to get a lower price on the room as the taxes are about 18% on top of high room rate. Next time would again check against Lowes Hotel at north end of art deco area.
Grab a table along the strip, where you are off the sidewalk, just inside open area of restaurant, late afternoon.... and watch the people show walking along the sidewalk...

Great Staff and Wonderful Room
I took my Girlfriend to Miami for her birthday and we absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was extra helpful with recommendations for nightlife and making reservations. The room was better than expected (great sitting area and wet bar). Only downside was the pool was extra warm and no public spa tub (private spa tubs available with the two story rooms). We will be back to this hotel the next trip to Miami.
