Definitely not a 4 star
The hotel is more like a university dormatory and would be a good 2 star. The grounds are not clean, the food is poor, the rooms are small and have very cheap furniture. The pool is beautiful but cold and is normally blocked off with red/white fencing. The area is remote and the staff don’t speak much english (if any). The bonus of this hotel was that it made us get away and drive around Sicily. I was unimpressed and shocked by this hotel and staff. In the middle of the night, another room across the hall had a burst water pipe, which then leaked into our room, we had 1 inch of water on the floor. So, at 3am while our small kids were sleeping, we mopped up the room with help of the hotel staff. I would not recommend this hotel even to someone on a tight budget.
