Do you speak Italian or French?
If you don’t speak Italian or French this is NOT the hotel for you. This is a resort catering for French & Italians. We were the only English people staying there. Alicudi is off the beaten track in a holiday village 15 mins outside Sciacca. Sciacca is NOT a tourist village only a few shops. ALicudi shows and entertainment were very good but they were in Italian or French. Food excellent! 1ltr of wine with lunch & dinner. We did have a relaxing holiday (not much else to do). Sicilians are friendly but do not speak English, language was a problem. If you want to experience the real Sicily then Alcudi is a great base.
Traveller's tip
Sicilian roads are built on stilts & are a nightmare! Road signs impossible. Try to arrange coach tips to see the Island as driving is hazardous, sicilians are impatient. Visit to valley of temples & Etna are well worth the visit.

Alicudi Hotel Sciacca
Great food, clean rooms although a little small for family of four but great for 2 peapople. Nice Pool with plenty of sun loungers. Shuttle service runs to beach from Poolside evry 20 mins and also a Shuttle bus service to sciacca from Hotel evry 30 Mins. Beach was also great with umbrellas and loungers provided of which there no shortgae of.
