It was fit for purpose
We found the hotel was about what we expected and was sufficient for our familys needs (2 adults, 4 children spread over 2 rooms) as an overnight stay on our way down to our holiday destination lower down in France. The staff were very helpful about our delay on the Channel Tunnel which meant it was almost midnight by the time we got there. We were still able to book in and would recommend the hotel on the basis that the staff were understanding to our circumstances.
Try not to be noisy if you arrive late or leave early. Try to be philosophical if you dont get much sleep due to the above - after all, its a cheap nights stay in reasonable conditions, and gets you where you want to go with adequate rest.

Adequate overnight stop
This was our third overnight stop at this hotel - the attractions being its convenient position on our route and the spacious car park. The facilities are adequate but this time our room (ostensibly non-smoking) smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The staff were helpful and quickly offered us an alternative but this was only marginally better. Breakfast was basic to say the least.
Traveller's tip on dining
The Buffalo Grill is very easy to spot and is only about 200 yards away - very handy for an evening meal.

Stepping it up
Dont go to this hotel if you havce any problem with stairs - there is no lift and you have to walk up an external stairway, with your luggage, to get to your room. When I arrived it was pouring with rain, I am 60 and obviously not very fit, yet no help was offered. Not so good. Plus the rooms was not exactly dirty, but very worn-looking. Not pleasant.
