Bed was extremely hard and floor was not vacuumed before or during our stay.
Because the bed was so hard it was difficult to get a good nights rest. When we checked in we were given a key, but when we went to the room the bed was not made. The floor was not vacuumed before or during our stay. Other than these things we were treated well.

The "Forbidden City" can be seen from the front sidewalk of this hotel. A travel agent is in the lobby to book tours such as the "Great Wall" at a reasonable rate

Tangyue
Very helpful english speaking staff. Rooms very modern and funky however the carpet in the room was quite damp and dirty and the only barrier between the room and bathroom is a curtain which cuts out none of the bathroom sounds. Its location is phemoninal though withing 1 min walking distance of the wall surronding the Forbidden City in one direction and in the other Wangfujing night market
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Watch the taxi meter and always ask for a receipt, the majority of the drivers are alright but its not uncommon for them to turn the meter off and hike up the price at the end of the journey, if they wont give you a receipt mention the police and they soon change their tune though.

Good location, Great Service, Poor upkeep
The hotel was very clean but looked knocked about, the receptionists were very helpful and the location is fantastic.
