This hotel is very close to the Metro so traveling around is easy.

Great location, but a little pretentious
Overall, this hotel is great for a little break to Rome. The location is perfect for the Vatican (a 10 minute walk) and there’s also Ottaviano metro station 100m from the hotel. There are also numerous bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. However the hotel describes itself as ’luxury boutique’, but really it is just a B&B. The rooms and reception have seen better days and there is certainly nothing that stands out as luxurious. Another false claim is that the rooms were sound-proof. Ours was behind the reception and we could clearly hear conversations and general disturbance from the breakfast room. This did not severly disrupt our stay but we were also very conscious of making noise in our room. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a short break but not if you wanted a special getaway to remember.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Buy a Roma pass! Available online or at the Termini. For 26 euros you get 3 days of free travel on the bus and metro; free entry and no queueing to the first 2 sights you visit; and further discount on other sights. Trastevere is a top night out. There are stacks of bars full of locals and are cheaper than most in the centre. Our favourites were a cocktail bar down via Renella and a Moroccan themed lounge along Vicolo de Cinque. At both bars you could buy a generous drink for less than 5 euros.

Second time around
Helpful English speaking staff performed as if it was a larger hotel [there are only 6 rooms] but treated us like it was a Bed & Breakfast. Inexpensive [not free] WiFi, continental breakfast with exceptional coffee.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The Vatican ticket office [and entrance to the museums] is only 2 blocks away. Piazza dal Popolo is a short walk to the east. Castel Sant’Angelo and St. Peter’s are a few blocks south.
