Excellent hotel
Excellent hotel. Lovely location just outside Galway in Barna village. Perfect gateway to Conemara. Staff very helpful & friendly. One small difficulty at start as previous occupant of room had clearly been smoking in it and the smell was still strong. Staff had no difficulty changing the room for us. From then on everything was perfect. Rooms quite spacious.
Even though rooms with balcony more spacious then those without, the bigger room is not needed . Also, for those that prefer fresh air to air conditioning it means you no longer have a small window to leave open at night.

Hotel worth talking about
The Twelve lives up to its reputation. This is a very good hotel for a weekend stay or as a base for touring the greater area. The rooms are good sized and comfortable. the West restaurant is excellent and the bar is good and lively, the bar also serves good food (note the restaurant is closed Sunday, Mon,Tue). There was no downside to our stay. I would definitely recomend this hotel.

Great hotel outside of Galway
I was worried when I booked a hotel outside of Galway, but this worked out great. It was a 10 minute drive from Galway and wonderful place to stay. The suite had plenty of room for our family of 4 and the breakfasts were great.
Traveller's tip on dining
O’Grady’s on the Pier walking distance from the hotel has great food and a view of the water.
