Very good
The hotel has its own private rocky beach and sun deck and is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but within walking distance of the main part of the town with restaurants and shops. Very restful. The room was very comfortable and the whole hotel was well kept and maintained. The staff were kind and helpful. A big sandy beach is available in the town, as are a hundred restaurants.

Poor value for money and noisy hotel.
Hotel Nike is a poor quality/value hotel. Visitors should be aware that the hotel will charge you extra for using the air con in your room, the safe in your room, for car parking and use of sun loungers - this can all add up when you stay for a week. We found the hotel extremely noisy when it was full. You could hear everything from the rooms next door and above - particularly the bathrooms and plumbing. There was also a lot of noise from the corridors and from a noisy bar/hotel outside on the Friday and Saturday nights. The management were less than accomodating when we asked to change rooms because of the noise and did not meet our request despite there being availability. We ended up buying earplugs. The room itself was clean and basic, but we would describe it as gloomy and dated and not somewhere youd want to chill out. The bathroom was small (very small shower) and beds were actual metal framed camp beds. Overall we were very disappointed with this hotel, thought it was poor value for money and would not recommend.

Hotel Nike
This hotel is in a more secluded part of Giardini Naxos, a short walk from many of the other hotels and restaurants. The hotel is nice enough, but its not actually in the main Giardini Naxos Bay, so no fantastic view of the bay, and our room wasnt facing the sea either, but over-looking the yard. The actual lounge area is stone and volcanic rocks, but it was closed when we were there (May 2007). You need to walk back up to the bay for the sand and views. It was out of season so the whole area was quiet, but at peak times it might be preferable to choose this as your base rather than the other hotels along the coast. On the plus side, the bathroom was lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet table of bread rolls, ham, cheese, jam, cereal and cakes/ pastries but no fruit.
Traveller's tip
If youre looking for somewhere quiet and away from the rest of the crowds, this is right at the end of the bay and more secluded. Although there were a lot of teenagers (possibly a school trip) staying there when we visited, making it quite noisy in the mornings!
