A First Class Hotel in a Beautiful Village
We felt very "at home" in this hotel from the monent we arrived. The room was clean and comfortable and all the staff were very attentive. The breafast and the meals in the bar were well cooked and served promptly. The village of Brockley is beautiful and well worth walking around. There is a handy shop/post office/cafe about 5 minutes walk from the hotel which is run by the community. This hotel is well placed to visit the attractions of the Cotwolds.
There are lots of places to visit in this area, they include Stately Homes, Historical Towns and Beautiful Scenery. It would take weeks to see them all.

Value for money
Last minute booking, very impressed by quality and helpful service at such a low price. Very quaint and unusual hotel with a Knight in shining armour in Reception. Food in bar good value and very tasty. Family run and friendly, ready to help at a drop of a hat, would definitely use again.
Do not miss a visit to Broadway, most enchanting village ever, picture-postcard quality. Also Bourton-on-the Water, lovely shops and very picturesque, epitome of Englands best kept secrets. Slaughters pretty too.

Good, but could improve.
The hotel is in good condition overall but needs some ongoing maintenance in some areas. The location is great for getting to places and set in a lovely village. The breakfasts are good, but the restaurant for evening meals although good is a little over priced. The staff are very helpful and the owners were also. Only watchout for me was in the bar on a Sunday evening there were a number of locals worse for ware and using bad language and there didnt appear to be anyone in authority to actually sort the situation out.Particularly as there were guests having bar meals.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
great location for short trips to the major village attractions.
