Green and minimalist

Clean rooms in the centre of Bilbao Old Town.Minimalist decor all green with rather squeaky wood floors.Beds very comfortable and bathroom all functional.Staff were very helpful. Delightful green dining room but breakfast was a disappointment (it was optional). Easy access to everything by excellent trams or metro.Interesting 10minute walk along the river bank to Guggenheim museum

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Check the museum is fully open - 2nd & 3rd floor closed for 3 weeks in March 2007. It is worth taking metro out to Puente Colgante and a day trip to San Sebastian is easy on the frequent buses and very worthwhile - the tapas there are even better than in Bilbao
