Great value and convenient location

With a less than 10-minute walk from the train station and about 15 minutes from the bus station (not to mention a 5-minute walk from the vaporetto), Palazzo Cendon is in a perfect location for public transportation while still being on a quieter street in the Cannaregio. The room was very clean and the front desk staff were very kind and helpful. The breakfast room was a bit small to accommodate the number of guests in the hotel, but that was really the only complaint I had. It would have been nice to have wi-fi or other internet access available, too. But generally, I would recommend this hotel to others looking for a reasonable option within the city of Venice proper.

I can’t recommend highly enough traveling in the fall or winter. If you can deal with chillier weather and the occasional rainshower, you’ll be rewarded with FAR fewer crowds and sometimes with off-season prices.

Great hotel on the Canal, close to train & much more

We had a room on the canal with a 2 big windows. Nice, big, clean. AC, TV, elevator all worked perfectly. Had a fine bathroom with skylight. Staff really helpful. 5 mins from train. Nice breakfast. Everywhere was easy to get to. Highly recommended!!

Went in Oct, off-season, so prices were cheaper & there were no crowds. If you want to jog, go before 9 when there’s hardly anyone around. Always read menus before sitting down in a restaurant. Easy to dump your suitcase as it’s 5 mions from train station, and there are no stairs.

Pleasant, comfortable and well positioned

This hotel was nicely positioned, an easy walk from the bus/train station and just far enough away from the busy routes to be quiet. Very pleasant and comfortable rooms and an adequate continental breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and guests. We would stay there again.

We went in late October and the weather was lovely - sunny and warm enough for shirt sleeves. Ideal for photos and walking and no flooding as yet!
