The Parliament- the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier- the National Garden- Greek and foreign banks- the post office and selected shopping areas are all within walking distance of the hotel. Plaka the old picturesque district of Athens is only a stones throw away and is full of taverns- restaurants and churches of different religions. The airport express bus station and the underground Metro station are also both close by. In Pan Hotel- all rooms are equipped with private bath- hair dryer- individual climate control- sound-proof windows- direct-dial phone- modem connection- satellite TV and pay-TV. Complications galore
Unfortunately there was some kind of communication gap between Expedia, Pan Hotel and another third party travel company that somehow got thrown into the mix without Expedia even knowing it. Luckily they had a back up for us right across the street which was satisfactory. Both hotels are in a fabulous location and easy to reach by foot after the hour bus ride.
