Cant wait to go back
Superb decor with fantastic use of mirrors, soft furnishings and plate glass. Delighted to find such a sophisticated hotel in Torquay.

nice downstairs - shame about the rooms
Had coffee here couple years back, the public areas looked nice. We would have stayed anyway due to Fawlty fame. However, as others have noted, the rooms are bit dated. This is probably why we got such a nice price. Old scuffed wallpaper, tiny rooms, tatty bathroom etc. However we did get a bit of a seaview (Anstys Cove) so cant complain. However there was a gang of Polish lads hard at work on the other rooms (dawn to dusk...), so I guess the next time we stay the rooms will be up to the standard of downstairs. And so will prices - but you cant have everything I guess. Also - nice pool, and nice location; walkable to town centre via backroads or jungle track
