DISAPPOINTED AND MISINFORMED
My wife and I stayed here during one of my business trips. We were very disappointed with this establishment. First of all, we looked up their website and there are several misrepresentations on it. Do not go by what you read on their website. The owner was nice enough but he was not even close to being prepared for us, so he "hung" around for way too long and made us feel somewhat weird. The man was making repairs during our stay. The house was very old and not very comfortable at all. The amenities were sparse and also disappointing. No cable, and they offered a movie DVD library that was obviously his children’s collection. The breakfast was not very good or plentyful. Just an overall bad experience. We will never stay here again or recommend this place. Many other complaints that could fill up a few pages!!

An outstanding alternate for Galena
This hotel is an incredible value when visiting Galena, IL, or Dubuque, IA. The property is well kept, with a charming and fascinating history. Service is exceptional, and the location is convenient. We would definitely return.

Great Get-a-way!
Great place to stay while enjoying Dubuque. A hidden gem that’s charming with personality. Great whirlpool bathtub and lots of little details that make it a great get-a-way. Very affordable. Would stay there again.
