Hotel Maly Krakow
The hotel is a great place to stay and not far from the train station or the main centre. It is only 10 minutes walk to the main market square. The hotel is basic but it is very comfortable and very clean. The only minor issue would be the breakfast at a local bistro 50 yards from the hotel. Though it was adequate, there wasnt a great deal of choice.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
The nightlife in Krakow is fantastic, there are many bars/clubs catering for a variety of musical taste. Midgard Klub on Ulica Szpitalna (Hospital Street) is a particular favourite with a fanatastic atmosphere.

An excellent base camp
A very pleasant venue in an ideal location for having a look around a really beautiful city. Situated by the train station from the airport and with helpful staff at the hotel all fluent with their English, made an enjoyable visit for me , the first time in a new country. Yes, I recommend it !
There is even a very large shopping complex at the bottom of the road, which matches any in the United Kingdom. A real haven for shoppers, and 5 minutes walk to one of the largest squares in Europe....all this and more on your first day in Krakow.
