Most Interesting than most
Convienient position. Just about walkable from the train station (15mins). Like most business hotels, but with a little extra effort added. Rooms interesting, and big enough for a city centre hotel

Made a difference to the holiday
I was really impressed with how helpful the staff were in the hotel. They gave us really good advice on the best tapas bars, beach and where to get the best churros!

Don’t be put off by the name or the district
Thanks to the reviews we had read in advance, my wife and I already knew that Room Mate Lola was in a red light district, but we’d read that the locality was close to the city centre and was reasonably quiet. And so it was. The hotel turned out to be impressive in almost every way: stylish, immaculately cared for and staffed by delightful young people with a good command of English. The hotel is a short walk away from the city centre, two taxi stands and numerous bus routes. It is also within 15 minutes walk of the main railway station and main bus station. Breakfasts were good and continue until midday. The only improvements we would like to see would be better floorcoverings in the bedrooms and tea-making facilities in rooms. Otherwise it is an excellent hotel and great value. I would give it four and a half out of five.
Cathedral; Alcazaba; Gibralfaro (great walk around the parapets with expansive views). Picasso museum and house are worthwhile for modern art-lovers and art-sceptics alike, but for different reasons. The main street, Marques de Larios is now a beautiful thoroughfare, while Paseo del Parque runs along a delightful park.
