Fine room for the money
I stayed at the Hotel Mozart for two nights while visiting my sister in Amsterdam. The hotel is in a nice location on Prinzengracht, one of Amsterdams major canals. The hotel is charmless, really, but clean enough. The shower in my room was good and the bed(s)were comfortable. You have to pay a deposit to get a TV remote, but this isnt the kind of room you want to spend a whole lot of waking time in anyway, particularly given that youre in Amsterdam so I never even asked for a remote. The breakfast was about what youd expect from a 2 or 3-star European hotel -- cold cereal, hard-boiled eggs, breads (no toaster), cheeses, cold cuts. It was okay, and the price (included in the room) was right.

Great location, disappointing rooms
The hotel location is great, at a 2min walk to Leidesplein, restaurants and amenities are nearby and the tram is easily accessible. The lobby for the hotel looked promising, it was clean and relatively modern, very bright from the large opening onto the canal on Prinsengracht. The room was twin, and apparently this is qualified by an inch gap between the beds. The floor bowed, the window opened into a tall gap between the back of the lift shaft, the room opposite and ours, no view, no AirCon, generally an uncomfortable size. It would be OK in cool weather and as a place to literally rest your head.
