cool experience
On the flight to DC, I was excited to see that the airline magazine included DC Guest House in their article on the city -- it was recommended for Culture Lovers. They were so right! Our stay at the Guest House ended up being a really memorable and fun part of the trip to Washington. The house is a visual feast, the breakfast was superb, and the owners helpful and friendly without being intrusive on guests’ privacy. We will definitely want to stay here again when another opportunity arises to visit DC.

Beats the Hiltons
This place is smack in town, yet feels like a home. The place is superb, the rooms are clean, the owners are accommodating. Really like a home away from home.

Great B&B, highly recommend
We stayed at the DC guest house 11/2008 and were very impressed with the personable yet professional service and pretty much everything else at this B&B. The rooms were clean and elegant. Especially nice was the extensive DVD collection and DVD player in each room. The free beer and soda was great also. The breakfast served consistently exceeded my expectations as well as the prompt service. This was overall my best stay at a B&B. For anyone attending a conference at the DC Convention Center, this place is absolutely perfect as it is less than a 10 minute walk and you get a filling breakfast served at your hour choosing. For those visiting the DC area, it is close to the metro and Chinatown. My one negative comment was that the heat was slightly inadequate in our room and the pullout bed was not very comfortable compared to those I have experienced in other hotels.
