Recommended
The staff was very helpful in giving us directions to where we wanted to go. The breakfast has a lot of variety but it was all cold foods. The room and bathroom were clean however not very aesthetically pleasing. The towels were pink and blue, old and tattered, as if they came from someone’s house.

If you get there via train, take a taxi! Don’t try to walk it.

Not a four star hotel
The staff were lovely and very helpful but the air con in the room did not work and as a result we had difficulty sleeping and had to open the window to let some air in and of course some mosquitos got in too!

Convenient Location -- little less than four star
This hotel was convenient--right off the highway and free parking. You could walk to the sites of Lucca; they had bikes available also. The room was plain, the bed was hard. They did not have air conditioning on--we were there the end of April, but we experienced the same thing in five-star hotel. We had to open the door to the balcony to get some air--and it was quite noisy. This was the least expensive place we stayed in our ten-day trip; we were only there for one night.
