Good location - hotel needs upgrading

There are wonderful views of the Bay from Waters Edge; sit at the lounge or pool to enjoy the sights. The staff is helpful. However, the rooms have seen better days. The bedding is thin, the walls are thin (you can hear conversations & running water from other rooms), the floors creak, even the beds creak, and the décor is dated (pink toilet with a wooden toilet seat!). Bring shampoo, the hotel only provides soap. The breakfast was nothing special. Not a bad place,if you are expecting a backpacker’s type of hotel, and not a 2 star resort.

Traveller's tip on recreational activities

Take a walk to Cockington, which is a quaint village with thatched roof cottages. It is approx 1 mile from the hotel, and is a nice easy walk. Ask the hotel staff for a brochure, which has a map and details of the cottages.

Worst hotel iv ever stayed in

This hotel is very out of date and as for the beds the matresses felt like theyd been there for over 50 years. the toilet seat was wonkey and dangerous, there were wires hanging from the ceiling and mold around the extractor fan in the bedroom. The hotel says it supplies TV but ours had only bbc1 and itv but cut off after 10 mins of watching. We even cut our holiday short and left as were so dissappointed and the rooms were damp so made us cough. I wouldnt reccommend this hotel if it were the last in England
