A mediocre place to stay in Riga
The hotel lies far away from the city center, only the tramway 17 connacts the hotel with the city center. Though, the facilities are clean, the shared facilities have the minimum stadards from an European standards. Though, the parking and breakfast were in every bit comparable to the other hotels in the city.

very good base hotel.
hotel,clean ,tidy, friendly. would recommend it to anyone who requires a base to visit Riga. About 15/20 mins from Riga old town by public transport. Breakfast buffet style,continental. Not to bad at all. Did not try dinner at hotel, menu not really to our fancy.

Pick up a free booklet at the airport, titled,Riga in your pocket. We found it very useful. Public transport very good. Trolleybus no 17,from the hotel, to the centre of Riga is regular, and cost only 0.50 lats, from the driver, or 0.40lats from the kiosks that sell them.Visit Jurmala on the coast. loverly place. Go there on the train. Cheap and easy.

Latvija WOW!!!
Hotel, very good all round. Food good, if you dont mind trying diferent things, or there is an easier option, there is food avilable that we "brits" like, very healthy salads too! The rooms are good, comfy amd airy, air conditioner is excellent bonus as it does get very hot.TV in rooms too, althugh we never stayd in to watch tv i did notice that there are channels to suit most nationalities. Staff pleasant and polite also.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Get a tour guide map and try to hire a car (if you have a family), there is a alot of traveling around to do ,Pace yourselves, and the "trams, Trains and buses" get very very packed. although the prices of the local transport is very good value. There is so much history and so much to see it is a wise idea to take along alot of extra batteries too! although they are cheap to buy also. Try the beach, oh my lord! how beautiful!! You will NOT be disapointed
