We’ll stay here again
We stayed here to visit my wife’s grandma who lives 5 miles away, we usually stay in Bruges but its getting pricey, we stopped here for half the price. Aalter is small but has some nice bars/restaurants, its only about 20 minutes drive to Bruges. Hotel is only a few years old, so everything is new and modern.

Comfortable but without character
We have stayed here twice - comfortable, efficient, modern but without much character. Restaurant food was acceptable without being memorable. A useful night stop within an hour of Channel Tunnel but not somewhere to spend much time. Good free parking in open.
