Stylish hotel walking distance from Carnac town
The hotel is beautifully decorated with top quality furnishings and fittings throughout. Our room was spacious and the bed was huge! Bathroom was lovely but the separate shower leaked which was a nuisance. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Dinners were delicious and there is a reasonable selection but it could get boring if one ate there every night. Breakfast is ok but we did think that got a bit same-y after a week. Only complaint - we were fisrt put into the third floor room (beautiful once more) in the annexe which is across the carpark along a shingle path - not ideal for those high heeled holiday shoes and not easily accessible with ones holiday cases or if one had difficulty with lots of stairs.
Traveller's tip on dining
The hotel isnt open every night for dinner and as we were there out of season (September), it was difficult to know which restaurants in the town were open as they seemed to close at will! We did find a fish restaurant and a Creperie both of which were excellent. Carnac is a great centre to visit many other places from. Quiberon is well worth a visit for its variety as is Vannes and dont miss the market on the carpark, just down the road from the hotel on Sunday morning.
