Good location
Good location, good price, only complaint was the old worn down carpets. The bathroom very good and clean, beds a little hard. There is an Indian Restaurant a couple of blocks from the hotel that is excellent.
The hotel is just accross the street from Subway Hanzomon Station exit 3.

Japanese Efficiency!
I had done a lot of research before finally making a decision to reserve a room at Monterey Hanzomon. After a stay for a week at this hotel, I heartily agree with all the positive reviews posted here about the hotel. The location, neighbourhood, price, quality of room, amenities etc etc were of an high order, as described by other travellers on this site!!! Full marks to both the hotel and the reviewing travellers............ A subway station at the door of your hotel is a huge convenience and offers great connectivity to just about anywhere!

Great hotel! What a find!
The hotel is very clean, has funky décor and very friendly/helpful staff. However communication was often a challenge. Location: very central and easy to get to all that Tokyo has to offer. Exit Hanzomon subway via exit 5. The hotel is located across the road. Like most subway stations in Tokyo, Hanzomon has a lift which makes carrying your luggage easier. There are several small cafes around the hotel and a great small café serving good coffee just around the corner (turn right out of hotel & right again at the corner- the café is about 25meters along). Room: The room itself was an acceptable size given it is in Tokyo. The bathroom is very usable with good quality amenities and funky walls. After staying at the Monterey Ginza(dirty, worn, shabby and unattractive + considerably more expensive) The hotel Monterey Hanzamon is a palace and I would highly recommend staying there.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
- exit number 5 for hotel. Knowing which subway exit to leave from can save you many kms of walking. - area around hotel is quiet and seemed safe. - a day pass for Tokyo subway is about 600yen. - a very good cafe meal (tampura and rice with tea) cost approx 500-700yen.
